There's so much about this game. Ah, it kept me engaged! I would be so curious to some design decisions. I would've loved some little extra surprises. Yet it stands great, of course. Well done!
sooo good!! you really took what looks at first like a simple system and wrung so much fun out of it. such a good example of what makes a fun incremental
Some people may find this boring, but personally I'd like to say that this is infinitely better than anything AI can make, and also it makes my brain happy because funny noise go beep boop haha
This is great. Somehow I think you managed to refine idle games down to their simplest components. It's just engaging enough, and makes cute noises. It has the same nostalgic feeling as watching the defrag screen back in the day. Suddenly a pixel would change color, and they would order themselves in neat little lines. 10/10 would defrag these diamonds again. Lol.
but you've already seen that snazzy icon, you sly creator entity, you.
diamond, auto. 25% fill and lv2 are just as viable as auto (probably 1k too), and order doesn't seem to matter much. impressive balance. plus, decent run variety with most rewards/pairs being optimized differently (and with diamond rng requiring regular improvisation).
some frustrations - frequently delaying/dropping z/x/c input at end of grid with hold press active, often registering only one of held z+x (or x+c), and occasionally hardlocking at start of next area - but despite those first two being killer for speedruns/sanity, all three feel like engine/web limitations. game is good.
updating/correcting my previous post: for speed, the best combinations are diamond first, then 25% or auto. also good: 1k+d, d+1k, lv2+d, d+lv2.
very late edit to finally update image and video links from 4:33 to 4:31. actually got 4:31 on 1 july but held off on updating in anticipation of sub-4:30, which hasn’t happened because i got busy with other things.

15:02. very interesting exploration of how minimal an incremental style game can be. each mechanic felt meaningful and fit the theme of squares.
16:02
Would appreciate an endless mode or something, though I guess one could simply not prestige
This was amazing. 16:47 ._.
I got 16:43
Good game
more can be added
im sad this is it
this could be so much more
great game nonetheless
I was far from optimized…
First playthrough got this time:
I unintentionally exclaimed “That’s it?” when I saw the ending. I was genuinely looking forward to more, and it just ended. :(
Ah well, it was not a bad way to kill some time. Thanks, devs.
tickles the brain good
For what it is it's a wonderful idea and really works well, I can imagine this being more complex and getting hooked to it lol

Does the 1k mean anything at the bottom right corner?
that is an achievement for 1000+ button presses
Cool game! 10/10. It reminds me of that old meme "it goes in the square hole!" lol
Also, Ik I could have done better with my timing...
Somehow, I had the same result - 14:20... coincendence?
Coincedence? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps we actually are clones of the same person ┌(。Д。)┐
(15:53) really wonderful game! really hope you can add more to this in the future! 10/10

12:41 A neat little game.
Never thought I’d see an idler/clicker in Pico-8. This is dumb as hell; good job, you understood the assignment, five stars.
7:34 rlly good to kill the time for a bit

I like all the different upgrades between presieges, but I wish there was a easier was to see all of them
Okay, very sweat and short and… to the pixel ;)
Pretty neat little thing.
Wish it had an infinite mode to truly become what they call "an animated background desktop"

Loved it, thanks for the 12 minutes of fun!
Simple yet really fun unique incremental game. It's also very pretty
The late game of the incremental game felt like gazing into the universe.
Best minimalist square-filling incremental game I've ever played
Small and minimalistic, Perfect
